Later this fall, the all-new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty lineup will make its debut with the largest heavy duty fuel tank in the segment. The 48-gallon tank means fewer stops for gas and more time for work.
This impressive fuel tank is standard on the new long-box Crew Cab models. Thanks to the trucks longer wheelbase and wider track, the large tank fits between the frame and driveshaft. It is 22% larger than the 2016 diesel 37.5-gallon tank and 37% larger than the 2016 gasoline 35-gallon tank.
With both a larger fuel tank and improved fuel efficiency, the 2017 Super Duty has a significantly increased driving range.
The improvements don’t stop there. The all-new Super Duty also has a larger diesel exhaust fluid tank, an improved fuel filter, and an improved water separator filter. This means drivers can go longer between routine maintenance, saving both time and money.
“We want to give our customers a more productive tool for getting the most out of their trucks,” said Brian Rathsburg, Super Duty marketing manager. He further says, “This means less downtime at the fuel pump and performing routine maintenance, and more time on the job.”
Here at Sun State Ford, we can’t wait to see what kind of performance we can get from the all-new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty. It will be arriving here later this fall.
