The Ford Fiesta was recently named one of the 10 Best Back-to-School Cars of 2016 by Kelley Blue Book. This is actually the second year in a row the Fiesta has been named to this list, proving just how great it is for drivers heading back to school. KBB rates cars on the list based on how well they would be for students and teens heading back to school, including categories like safety, handling, comfortability, fun, and affordability.
According to Ford, the Fiesta is a great back-to-school car because it’s is sporty and fun, as well as affordable. Teens love this model, especially because of its short design and bold front end. Parents love it because it has tons of safety features, including seven dual-stage airbags.
“The kids involved prefer to have a car they’re happy to be seen in, which suggests style is part of the equation too,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director for KBB.com. “Ford Fiesta addresses all of these wants, with an array of features returning students are sure to appreciate.”
The new Fiesta comes with a 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine option, as well as an available 1.6-liter EcoBoost on the Fiesta ST. SYNC 3 and the SYNC AppLink system are also available, features which are particularly popular with young adults and teens.
