Ford F-150 EcoBoost Wins Truck Showdown Max MPG Challenge

2016 Ford F-150

The F-150 truly has it all, including efficiency. As illustrated by the Pickuptrucks.com’s fuel economy challenge, the new Ford F-150 is the most efficient truck in its segment, beating out the Ram 1500 and Silverado 1500. There’s a reason the new F-150 is the most popular vehicle on the road.

According to Ford, the F-150 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 officially won the Truck Showdown Max MPG challenge, with a best-in-class 22 mpg combined. This engine also produces 325 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque, giving it a max payload rating of 2,250 pounds and maximum-towing rating of 8,500 pounds.

“In the end, we were impressed with the F-150 for its capability, fuel efficiency and composure when pushed hard,” said Mark Williams, editor of PickupTrucks.com. He further says, “for a small V-6 engine, it’s very impressive how well it almost eliminates the typical compromises half-ton customers have become accustomed to.”

The F-150 EcoBoost engine optimizes fuel economy thanks to precision timing, a lightweight build, and the latest performance software. Why settle for anything less than the best? Check out the new F-150 today.  We have plenty of the new Ford F-150 in stock here at Sun State Ford so stop in!
