The 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty beats out the competition when it comes to payload, power, and towing, making it the mightiest choice for those with the most massive needs. In all, the new Super Duty tops heavy-duty pickups in six major categories, including incredible diesel gooseneck and fifth-wheel towing capabilities.
Top-Shelf Diesel Specs
The Ford F-Series Super Duty has best-in-class maximum gooseneck towing of up to 37,000 pounds, best-in-class fifth-wheel towing of up to 32,500 pounds, and best-in-class conventional towing of up to 24,000 pounds when you choose the 6.7-liter Power Stroke® diesel engine. This mighty diesel has a whopping 1,050 lb-ft of torque, and it is mated to an all-new 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® transmission.
“Ford truck customers are building a better world with Super Duty and we’re helping them work even harder with the most available diesel towing, payload, torque and power you can get in a heavy-duty pickup,” said Mike Pruitt, Super Duty chief engineer.
Incredible Gas Specs
For those who choose a gasoline powertrain, you can still find incredible performance thanks to the new 7.3-liter V8. This engine delivers 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque — best in its class for a gasoline engine — while the standard 6.2-liter gasoline engine lets you carry a best-in-class payload capacity of up to 7,850 pounds.
